Just a “good old-fashioned modern class” influenced by the late great Erick Hawkins with some Laban and Bartenieff ecstacy mixed in. Come breathe, lengthen, release and indulge. Or as Erick used to say, “Let the leg lift as it wants to…as it needs to…”
Angie Yetzke is part of the dance faculty at Hope College in Holland. She will receive her MFA this summer, 2012, from the U of WI – Milwaukee. A West MI native, Angie founded and directed the UICA Dance Collaborative (99-03) and also co-founded DITA with Amy. Her current interests lie in somatics, primarily Laban Movement Analysis which she will be studying this summer in NYC, and the integration of voice and movement.
