Artist Bio:
Francis began his training in Australia where he graduated from the Australian Ballet School with a diploma in Dance. Whilst studying at the school he toured with the Australian Ballet Dancers Company tour for two years and danced in The Australian Ballet Company. Upon arriving in the states Francis joined New York Theatre Ballet for there 30th season in Cinderella and Agnes De Mille tribute (Dance/speak). The last three season’s he has danced for the Grand Rapids Ballet Company doing varied repertoire such as George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Jose Limon, Paul Taylor, Ulysse’s Dove, Lew Christensen, David Parson’s and Mario Radacovsky. In the states he has studied in such programs as Alvin Ailey, Complexions & Hubbard Street getting to work with choreographers such as Pedro Ruiz, Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. Francis will be joining Dance Theatre of Harlem for their 2012 – 2013 season as a company dancer.
